IGN64 has not yet released the "big news" that they recently found out about the Dolphin but I have been speculating over the past few days. What could this be? For all I know, I could be way off base but I have a few ideas on what this "big news" is. First, I thought of issues such as the Chipset that will be used in the Dolphin but info has already been released on that and we all know about it. Also, the thought of the Dolphin's Speed came up in my mind but we also know details about that. So, what has Nintendo been keeping quiet about and not saying anything about? There are only two possibilities that I can think of.... One, the sound! Nobody knows anything about the sound capability of the Dolphin and Nintendo says "We do not yet know what kind of sound the Dolphin will feature." Okay....whatever Nintendo! They have development kits out already to companies such as Rare so don't you think that if companies are alreay creating games for the system, they would feature sound?! I believe that Nintendo could have the ultimate sound for any videogame system ever created, yes, even better than the PSX! Hig quality sound is a big feature in games nowadays. Now, my other idea...which I really hoe for! Now, this feature would definitely make the Dolphin blow away ALL the competition in the Next Generation or Gaming! It's an issue that many sites have already spoken f and although Nintendo has denied it, they could be hiding it since there is some competition who can match them. What is this great feature? BACKWARD COMPATIBILITY! (B.C.) Of course, if this is the case, there is no chance that any system will stand up to the Dolphin! Sony will surely have B.C. between the PSX and the PSX 2 but Nintendo denies it at this time. If they are hiding this feature, I would be extremely happy and so would many other gamers. What's that you say? The Dolphin uses DVD and the N64 is cartridge? Who cares? There can be a spot on the Dolphin to insert a cartridge or Nintendo can sell an optional 'add-on' for the system.. On the bottom of the NES, the Super NES, and the N64, there is a port which can be used for an 'add-on' so the Dolphin will probably have one too. Anyway, those are my ideas and may we hope one is right! If you have another suggestion, please Send it in! and if I get enough ideas from people, about 15-20 at least, I will add them all to this site. |
