No DVD movie playback or music CD's?! THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!! I can't believe they would do that. I have been a Nintendo owner since there first system and I have kept buying every system since. Now they release this junk this might be the first time I will not buy a system from nintendo and buy a Playstation instead. For one thing, what about people that can't afford a DVD and don't have one ( Not saying I can't, I can and will get a DVD Player) but that is very unfair to people who don't have a DVD and want one but want a video game system So what do they do...Buy a video game system or a DVD, how about both? Who would carry that PlaystaionII because guess what(simple math problem) you only have 400 dollars and a DVD player costs 300 dolars and nintendo costs 200 dollars that would end up costing the consumer $500 and he only has 400 what happens the PlaystionII only costs $300 guess what he would buy a playstionII becaus it would do both for only $300 and that leaves room for buying games. So basicly what ! I'm saying is this If I were in that position I would buy the PlaystaionII. Solet that sink in and change the speks fast otherwise I will not a Nintedo2000 or whatever your going to call it I will buy a PlaystaionII PIKACHU!!!!!!!! Hello,
Hi, I wrote you yesterday about the 32-bit handheld system.I'm writing to you again because it is by nintendo!!!I'v read about it in countless magizines, the thing is the only thing they say about it is that it is a 32-bit hand held system by nintendo and will be released sometime within the next 2 yrs. I'm looking for more info and if you you have connections with Nintendo of America you should be able to get all the specs on this. Hello Again,
Hi, It's good to see you are already getting excited about Dolphin, but keep in mind it's not going to be out until the end of 2000 at the earliest. Hopefully Nintendo will keep leaking out information on the system-- but I wouldn't count on it. In the meantime, check out some of the great N64 and Game Boy games that are coming. Perfect Dark, Donkey Kong 64, Jet Force Gemini all look like awesome titles! Good luck on your site, and for official Dolphin news, always check at Nintendo of America's official site: http://www.nintenndo.com GET N OR GET OUT! DANO
Greetings NOADANO, I am indeed getting ready for the "Dolphin". I realize that it will not be out for awhile yet but I have many sections of the site to keep me going such as Q & A, Mailbag, and other interesting things. According to IGN64 and Next-Generation Online, there will not be much info released on the "Dolphin" from now till...sometime in the future, near future I hope. I have been keeping an eye out for great games such as Perfect Dark, Donkey Kong and other favorites of mine. I heard there will be an Excitebike 64 which I am looking forward to very much. In closing, I would like to say thank you very much indeed for adding my link to the Specialty Sites in NList and also for posting a message on this board. I consider it an honor to meet you and so do many of my friends. Thanks again and goodbye. ~Bryan Tremblay
Dear Bryan, While browsing through your site, I noticed your technology section. I don't know who wrote there article, detailing the specifications for the dolphin console, but it suggested a 33.6kbps modem, for remote game play. There is a big problem with that though; in order to get streaming video or real time data comparison, one needs a bigger pipe than a 33.6 modem. With something that slow, one might be able to play checkers or poker but nothing more. It will most likely be a DSL connection. In another year or two those will be reaching speeds of 5-10Mbps. I welcome any thoughts that you may have on the issue. P.S. Please respond! Hi Justin, The preview was made by my main editor, Kyle Barret, since I do not know much about the technicalities of the N2000. I handle the News and the majority of the questions sent in. Please email Kyle and ask him about this issue. Thank you for writing. I noticed that in your hardware section when you were talking about the Nintendo 64's RAM, you said that 4MB was not enough to run the program you wrote the page in. But in fact 4mb is adequate for a video game system to run on. The reason a computer needs at least 32mb is because a computer has so many tasks and programs to do that it needs a lot of ram. Secondly a video game system only needs to run a game. I do however agree with you that the Dolphin should have more RAM. Hi, Since I did not write that preview of the Dolphin, I cannot say much. You are the second to write in about this so I think I will be writing a new preview of the Dolphin that is more accurate. The Dolphin should definitely have more RAM though, I must agree with that point. Thank you for your insights. |
