Nintendo strikes deal with Disney (NOT A JOKE)
Nintendo has announced that approximately 13 Disney liscensed, Mickey-Mouse based games will be published across the Game Boy Color, Nintendo 64, and their next-generation hardware, codenamed, Project Dolphin. Expected releases for these titles range from the holiday season of 1999 to 2001. Nintendo also revealed that these games would be published by none other than the best developer, Rare whom is well-known for 007 Goldeneye and Banjo-Kazooie.

A minimum of 2 of the 13 possible titles have been confirmed for the Nintendo 64. The first is a racer scheduled to be released in late '99.That will probably be pushed back into 2000 though. In late 2001, a Mickey-based should be available for Project Dolphin, the new system. That also marks the first, officially confirmed title for the next-generation hardware. All of the scheduled releases are said to be3D polygonal titles.

"The incomparable ability of Rare to create interactive magic is about to be integrated with the incomparable appeal of Mickey Mouse," commented Howard Lincoln, chairman, Nintendo of America. "The results will broaden the appeal of video gaming to an ever-widening number of households around the world."

This deal will alsogive Disney Interactive the rights to develop a series of titles for the Color Game Boy. Expect some great games based on classics such as Beauty and the Beast later this year.

According to Nintendo, none of the games are very far into development yet so they will not be making an appearance at this year's E3.
